A new job in Sustainable Lighting

Having worked in the lighting industry for over 30 years and more recently specialising in Low Energy Lighting, I have recently joined Green Led (www.greenled.co.uk) who are pioneering LED Lighting. I am personally convinced that LED Lighting will pay a significant in the future of Lighting. In my humble opinion I feel strongly that no one should purchase or specify a filament lamp unless absolutely necessary.

Green Led has recently lit the Building Research Establishment (BRE) Visitor Centre at Watford entirely with LED Lamps. The Visitor centre also has a number of new homes built on the BRE Innovation Park site to demonstrate new products and technologies to highlight Low Energy and Sustainability.

I'm looking for greener alternatives to the bulbs we currently use to heat our Dragon Vivariums. The dragons need a heat source and at present we are using the standard 100W spotlight bulbs alongside our UVB flourescents. I'd be grateful for any info you can give us on greener alternatives.

Not sure I can help here. I deal in LED Lighting and these run cool so do not emit much heat. In fact about 80% less heat.; ▶ Reply to This
