EarthLife Healing - Newfoundland Dogs as Co-Healers

The well-known dolphin therapy was our inspiration for working with the wonderful Newfoundland Dogs.

Long time we thought about a way that would be easier to afford and easier to reach than a dolphin therapy ,which takes place on far away places and is hard to achieve for most people.

Then we came across this very special breed.

There is an old story about these dogs :

when Spirit had created the world , s/he looked down on Newfoundland , saw the rough weathers, the tough seas and said : i should create a companion for those people there. This companion would have to be :

* strong like a bear

* soft and playful like the dolphin and

* a loyal companion...

that was the moment the Newfoundland Dogs were created .....

Actually Newfies (as they are called by those who love them) are born with the impulse to save people. So their major concern is to have human beings safe and relaxed ( as they like to be relaxed and settled).

So we just integrate them into our healing work. They are not trained as special therapy or assistance dogs, they are just trained to love life and people. We have experienced their healing energies always and again.

They are extremely helpful when working with people who have difficulties in relation with other human beings for whatever reason that might be (e.g. people with Autism,Alzheimer.)
