Help Support a Worthy Cause
Kindly accept greetings from the members of The Linnett Chang Charity Foundation (LCCF). The Foundation founded in 2009 is a non-profit organization that raises and awards financial help to children in communities. The Foundation Seeks to help children continue their education, learn new skills, and improve their own communities as they strive to become better leaders. This being the Foundation’s inaugural year, we are energized to bring changes to children both in need and those who demonstrate great excellence in their GSAT examination.
This year the Foundation will offer scholarships to a number of students in primary schools in the parish of St. Ann particularly from the community Linnett Chang lived and worked all her life. However, we are not limiting our efforts to help those outside the community who may be in need of assistance. The scholarship recipients’ will be sponsored into high school for 5 years. There is also a grant program available to students who did not qualify for the scholarship but demonstrated a substantial financial need. In keeping with our commitment to excellence in education, we have also awarded a number of students in primary schools, trophies for having attained the highest score in the Grade Six Achievement Mathematics examination.
The Foundation will be hosting its first fundraiser event on August 29, 2009 at The Aboukir High School in St. Ann. One highlight of this event will be the crowning of Miss LCCF Teen 2009. We are requesting your assistance in any amount you feel comfortable giving. Your support will go towards the foundation’s grant program which will be use for the purchasing of school books/supplies for children in need.
