- About Me:
- Gaining a BA Hons Fine Art many years ago, I wish to see a world where great images and great ideas are the property of all rather than the select few who can afford to buy them. What matters in art to me is not the uniqueness of the object itself, but the uniqueness of the idea which has given birth to that object. My calendar of Climate Change (Whatever the Weather...) is a ground-breaking attempt to combine climate education, re-connection with the earth and positive engagement with the real issues around us now - all in the innocent-seeming guise of an engagement calendar. It exists currently in 3 different editions entitled: Introductory, People and Planet and Living With Climate Change. It is available to the public, to educational institutions, to local governments and to carefully vetted companies as a green corporate gift.I have spent my entire life working with images - photographs, paintings, illustrations, cartoons - all generated by others! I am a picture professional, not a practicing artist. Over a span of 25 years spent researching and supplying and editing images to all forms of media I became bored and disillusioned with the world of marketing. The world was getting warmer, biodiversity was shrinking daily, resources in ever shorter supply, population bigger and more demanding with every passing day. Could I sit back and shut my eyes to all this? It was time to act rather than re-act. I decided to put my entire skillset and experience to the service of planet Earth. I was deafened by her silent screams - and had no option but to make others aware before it was too late. I work and network tirelessly on behalf of our great Mother, promoting, connecting and most of all educating and inspiring all sorts of people. I'm good at combining words and images - with a talent for reducing a difficult concept to a virtual haiku, and an ability to find and assemble thought-provoking images in a meaningful and influential way. I love working with environmental NGOs, businesses and educationists...anyone who wants to change the world and needs focused support.
