I've finally come to the conclusion that it really is
necessary to unfollow anyone on twitter who does not follow you back.
Twitter has some sort of ratio of followers to those you are following. And if you are following too many and do not have enough following you back, there comes a time when you cannot follow any more people. And in turn that may mean that your genuine followers will have to
unfollow YOU because their ratio is being affected too.
Oh it's all very silly of twitter to impose this ratio, but for now I guess we will just have do some unfollowing and learn to live with it until they, Twitter, come to their senses.
To find out who is not following you back all you have to do is: On your home page you will see the number of people you are following.Click to see a full list of them and find out if you can send them a direct message. If you cannot send them a directmessage that means they are not following you.

The whole thing isn't right tho ...its not about "I'll only follow you if you follow me back" . Far from the contrary....some may be trapped in the same ratio gap as you could be...and they can't follow you back even if they tried.
I think it is now coming to the time when you follow someone and have to send them a @ message to prompt them to follow you back else get unfollowed to keep your ratios correct. Hmmmm.....
Oh well it still seems a good place to be.... with much room for improvement tho!

AND REMEMBER...follow those who follow you first. don't end up creating the trap for them. Unless of course they are spammers or porn in which case you BLOCK them and not be seen on their timeline.
Has any one else had such experience?
